Junior Beta Club
Guidelines 

I. Requirements for Being Inducted into MOMS Junior Beta Club:
  • The student must be a current 7th or 8th grader.
  • The student must have a 93 average for the previous school year. Grades below 93 will not be rounded up.
  • The student must not have received more than one nine weeks grade below 85 for the previous school year.
  • The student must not have had more than one incident requiring ISS the previous school year.
  • The student must not have served any OSS the previous school year.

II. Requirements for Maintaining Membership in the MOMS Junior Beta Club:

  • The Beta member must maintain a semester average of 93.  Grades below 93 will not be rounded up.
  • The Beta member must have all nine weeks grades 85 or higher.
  • The Beta member must maintain satisfactory conduct in all classes.
  • The Beta member must not have more than one incident per year requiring ISS.
  • The Beta member must not serve any OSS.

III. Probation for one full semester occurs if:

  • The Beta Club member’s semester average falls below 93.  The probation period will be the following semester.
  • The Beta Club member has one incident requiring ISS.  The probation period will begin immediately and continue for the remainder of the current semester.

(Probation means the student will be excluded from all Beta Club activities for that semester.)

IV. Removal from Beta Club occurs IMMEDIATELY and for the remainder of the students MOMS years if:

  • The Beta Club member has more than one incident per year requiring ISS.
  • The Beta Club member serves any OSS.
  • The Beta Club member receives more than one nine weeks grade below 85.
  • The Beta Club member fails to bring his/her average up to a 93 after being on probation.
